Boot doesn't open!

Hi all, the boot button on my '11 reg Ford Ka has stopped working - I can pop the boot just fine with the key fob, but the button on the boot itself does nothing when I push it.

I tried my local garage who said I'd need to take it to Ford, who want to charge £65 just to try and find out the problem which is bananas. 

Does anyone know what the issue might be or who I can try taking it to? Also any idea of how much it might cost so I can try not to get swindled? Thanks!
