The bracket on the downpipe of my 08 c max does anyone know if you can replace just the flexy part qith the bracket or do i need to replace the downpipe and cat

    Depends how rotten the exhaust is. If the bracket has rusted away (you didn't actually say what's wrong with it btw) then the surrounding metal will be too thin/ no good metal to weld to.

    If the rest of the pipe is good then an exhaust shop should be able to weld a new section in for you, however like I said if the bracket's gone rusty, then the rest of the exhaust won't be far behind...
