Ford Focus 2.0 tdci Starting and Stalls (Not idling)

Featured Replies

Hi everybody..

Thank you kindly for all the information and ideas you post.

I have a ford focus 2.0 tdci 2005 and recently the car was entering "limp mode" through this error code - P0088-Fuel Pressure Regulator Control Circuit Present. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator with another one, cleared the error code, and the car is out of limp mode. However the car can't idle or start without tapping on the accelerator pedal. If I start it without tapping the acc pedal it just dies immediately. I put back the old Fuel Pressure Regulator but still, it no longer was to idle on its own.

Of course there are some error codes. But they were there beforehand

Any ideas where to start.

Many thanks..
