My wife's  car has the same problem, but it is wet at the front and rear foot rests as well when it rains.

Ford seem to struggle to make watertight cars. Loads on the Focus in the thread below, not sure about the B Max. Places to investigate seem to be rear cabin vents, boot hinges, roof rail fixings, boot seals, holes in the body behind the bumper and probably more. Try run a hose over the car while someone is inside checking where the water enters.

Hi , I bought a Ford c max a couple of years ago & have had this problem so I did some investigation into where the water was coming in , after opening the boot door , there is a plastic panel on each side of the body work , they are just clipped into the holes in the body work , after removing these I found a circular hole about the size of a 10 pence coin , this is where the water comes in when it rains or you wash your car , I purchased some aluminium tape & put it over these holes & replaced the plastic back on the body work & i have never had a wet boot space again , also I use the hanging wardrobe moisture bags in the car to soak up any condensation & its never been wet inside either , I hope this helps 👍
