Auto Gearbox Problem

Featured Replies

Can anybody help. I have a 1.6LX Focus and 2 gears stopped working. I have done alot of extensive research and have concluded due to the systems, i.e. 2 and 4th go into neutral, 1st fine, 3rd fine, R fine, P fine.

There are 6 solenoids in the box accessible from the oil pan. I had Ford look them up BUT they dont know which one is associated with which gear !!!.

Any ideas from anyone who may have come across this.

I can have a look at them but don't know if they make a move or not when they are supposed to be engaged ?

Would appreciate any help.

Hi which gearbox have you got is it the 4F27E or THE CFT 23 ?
