Rear quarter panel window seal

Featured Replies

Is this a common problem on fords? Both back seals on my c max are like this.

Wondering if there is a fix or better upgrade so this won't happen again?

Autoglass said I can't go through insurance because the window itself isn't damaged. So they changing me around £340. A bit over priced to replace two window seals.. right?

So if the window was damaged they would replace it and seals on insurance ?.

I know what my next move would be.

Can't say I've seen that before.

Never seen that type of failure before. Careful use of Evo Stick impact adhesive would be my try first.

Had you any luck fixing/replacing? Mine is the same car is just over 3 years old. I spotted that when it was out of warranty already

Is it actually leaking water/rain?can’t you stick it back on with a line of bathroom sealant?

Did you get this sorted out?

I just bought a 2017 model and have same problem. I dont want to replace glass panel. I might try some sticky foam sealer strip.

Mine from 2017 has the same issue. Wouldn’t want to change the whole window because of this. Any fixes? Any parts you can buy for this?

Use windscreen bond (black) cut off the loose and fill

Dragging up an old thread here but my mate had that failure and he caused it!!
By the use of a powerful 'Jet Wash' the water jet literally sliced through the rubber.
