My Kuga gets water in all. Foot wells except drivers.I have rubber mats over the carpets could this be the problem or kiss it coming from the heater outlet under the seats IGB

Yes. It's well know that rubber mats can cause the carpet to sweat a lot, in hot weather the poor wooly carpet sheds so much sweat that it can nearly flood the footwells 🤣

or do you think possibly there might be a leak somewhere?

Have a look at the drain off ports near the wipers this sometimes gets filled with leaves water then fills up and leaks inside car this has happened on loads of cars of all different makes I’ve had it with kugas , mondeo ,Saab and vw and many others

I had some problem in my focus mk2 water was getting in through the grommets where the rear lights screw into was making all footwells wet used sealer now no more leaks.
