? headlamp washers !

Featured Replies

We have recently bought a Ford Focus Vignale. and are still learning all about it. Yesterday, I used the windscreen wipers, and found at the back of the wiper arm, a little switch that moved up and down, similar in shape and size to the rear wiper  switch , that is on the end of the wiper arm. I went through the car manual book, but could  find no mention of this little switch anywhere. Does anyone have any idea what it is meant to do, as nothing happened when L switched it up and down ? I did wonder if it was a washer for the headlights, but I`m not sure if there are any !!

Hi,

It's for adjusting the sensitivity of the auto-wipers.  If you find they're not wiping soon enough, you can make them more sensitive, and vice versa.

If you have adaptive LED headlights, they come with headlight washers which automatically operate every few times you operate the main washers.
