Steering Rack :/

Featured Replies

Hey All,

I’ve not ever had to post here as my old bus has never let me down, but the time has unfortunately come, I’ve a 1.8 2008 cmax which now has a seal gone on the power steering rack, is there anyone here which can tell me how hard these are to change and if there’s anything I should know before hand? Possibly a guide or video tutorial I could use? Thanks all!

Hey guys, got the rack out my old bus waiting for new one to arrive, is there anything special that needs to be done when the new ones bolted up? Other then bleeding of system and checking for leaks nothing else? Also any recommendations on power steering fluid? I heard it had to be some sort of mineral green fluid, not heard of it tbh only ever used red ATF in other cars, cheers guys!
