Engine Cutout

Featured Replies

have mondeo zetec 2005 130tdci with problem dealer cant sort.

when driving , almost monthly, the engine will die and for a split second the glow plug and engine mgt warning lights both light up. Then the engine will kick back in and carry on as if nothing happened.

this has happened at sppeds from 70 outside lane of motorway to 20mph in slow moving traffic, at all times of day and in all weathers.

dealer dont know what problem is. could it be intermittent fault with glow plugs? car now has 60,000 on clock, i bought it with 10,000

if the mag light came on there should be a code stored in the ecu,did they read the codes? it sounds like it could be a cam or crank sensor playing up.
