Sync 3 + Android 11 = Bluetoothe connect/disconnect issue ?

Featured Replies

Short background first:

My mobile (Motorola one Vision) got updated to Android 11 ~ 1 week ago, causing headaches with apps losing access to SD Card etc.

Phone 'disappeared' from my C-Max Sync 3, until I removed the original setup & reconnected.. Everything seemed fine & phone connected without problems & was still working as before.

Yesterday I received a 'Security Update' on the phone (Dated 1 August 2021) & relised this morning my phone had once again 'disappeared' from Sync 3, so naturally I did exactly the same thing as I did before.

Now however the phone connects, then disconnects several times before I get a message on phone stating a reliable bluetooth connection cannot be obtained, & this in turns disconnects my phone from Sync.

I've read tips about 'Bluetooth connection problems with Sync 3' especially 'after an android major update' - most 'tips' state to reset radio/sync etc - but since this has started happening since my PHONE got updated I can't see how re-booting the car/pulling out fuses etc will cure the problem.

Has anyone else been having trouble with their Android phones & Sync 3 - especially with Android 11 installed ?
If so - any tips to help stay connected to the car ??
