hi just got myself a filter for my 2019 awd juga diesel 2ltr , seemd ok , travelled falkirk to edinburgh and back , felt good , but a mile from home it went into limp mode ie 2 k revs and 45 miles an hour, ,parked up had a coffe then it worked ok again , ive been told its a roulette if it works ok or not , obviously not mine , so i have a filter for sale now , felt it easy on the pedal and no effort i dont drive with a lead foot

either a dirty MAF (Mass, Air Flow) Sensor or dirty fuel filter, 

the K&N are known to contribute to the dirt build up on a MAF sensor but not instantly; it would happen over a year or so; 

the K&N could have been the icing on the cake build up on the MAF though, 

no harm to purchase a can of MAF cleaner and give it a lash as they say; it will only improve fuel economy if nothing else. 

never touch the MAF though there very sensitive.

 

Yes, as mentioned, K&N chuck loads of oil onto the MAF and cause loads of problems.

Chuck it in the bin, they do nothing anyway.

Make sure you clean your MAF, please use proper MAF cleaner

K&N specifically say that they don't cause MAF problems, but I'm still sceptical!

I used them on non-MAF cars but stuck with dry foam filters on newer MAF cars, Pipercross, Ramair, etc.  Until I got old and boring and just used standard paper filters again.

Lol last car on which I used a K&N was my Astra SRi which I parted with about the time you were born, I think!😃

Found standard filters perfectly ok since.

after i got ford to clear any codes after limp mode they put a new paper filter in i actualy feel it drives good weired but feels easy on pedalanyway some other sucker is comeing to buy it of me the kn one ,not my prob now
