I have this code come up which is Lost communication with BCM. The symptoms are the central locking has packed in, frost light on, and indicators work but no noise inside.

Any ideas how to solve? 2007 1.8 diesel model.

Check the BCM plugs and sockets, look for signs of water and "green fur" corrosion. Disconnect the battery before you start removing the plugs from the BCM.

Thanks unofix, I have solved this now, it turned out to be the connections to the fusebox in the passenger footwell. There is an orange connector and a green one held in place with black clips. One had become loose and as soon as I moved the clip over there was a clicking sound like when the central locking is engaged and hey presto all seems to be good.

I suspect the clip has been caught by a passengers foot and is likely to happen to others and may recur with this one.

Just for future referance the BCM and passenger side fusebox are in fact one unit. If you were to pull apart the fusebox you will find inside a circuit board which is the Body Control Module. It is a mini computer for functions like lights, heater fan, heated windows, indicators etc.
