Steering assist malfunction

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. 3 times this year, generally a few months apart I’ve got in my 61 plate CMax and turned the key, all lights come on but the car won’t start. The “i” comes up on the dash with “ Steering assist malfunction-service required” it’s had a service 6 months ago btw. Anyway after a quick YouTube search the 1st time it happened it said to change a 5 Amp fuse which I did and the car started and off I went. Happy days. Anyway this has happened 3 times this year so I got a diagnostics the other day (see attached pic) is this something any other members have had? Would be interesting to hear before I pop to Ford
