Passive entry problem

Featured Replies

Im hoping someone can help me with this, apologies as I'm not the most car savvy person if this doesn't make much sense.

I recently had to have my front passenger door replaced on my Kuga ST Line 2019.  Luckily, I managed to source the same colour door, but since it has been fitted the passive entry doesn't work on the passenger side of the car.  It works on both the front and back doors on the drivers side, and the boot opens fine too.

Does it need reprogramming, if so, who would be best contact for this to be resolved?  Or are there different door handles with sensors in them, and if thats the case will there need to be extra parts installed into the door to enable it work again?

The quick answer to that is Yes.

Can you not transfer all the parts from your old door over to the replacment ?

Without doing a full check of your replacment door I could only guess at the problem, it may be the Door Control Module, it could be the handle, or it could just need programming. On the plus side at least its the right colour !!

Thank you for your reply

Sounds like I'll have to get back in touch with the body shop and see what he's transferred over.  He's probably got rid of the old door by now 😔
