Width Restrictors

Evening all. Former Edge owner and contemplating buying another one (Just mulling over if diesel is a good idea long term). I only had my last one for a few months during lockdown and had to swap it for another car as it had an issue and there was nowhere to fix it. Anyway in the short time I owned it I don't think I ever had to take it through a road with one of those width restrictors and one of my journeys now has one en route. I'm assuming that due it's size it doesn't fit in the 6ft 6 ones and the 7ft is a squeeze? 



I'm pretty sure the Edge is 6.4ft wide so should go through a 6.6ft restriction but slowly 😉

Bear in mind if you google the width it will usually include the mirrors.

Thanks I'm sure I probably did go through one but can't recall. I'm currently torn between a 2019 Edge ST Line and a 2020 Tiguan R Line both low Miles and both white but Tiguan is petrol
