Limp mode

Featured Replies

I have a ford Kuga  2 litre 39000 miles.starting going in to limp mode saying service now. Soon as you stop and restart the engine all fine again. Mechanic fitted fuel filter then fuel rail and sensor.this didn’t sort it.just to add it normal goes about a week before jumping back in to limp mode.took to ford and went on code reader.says low pressure. Been quoted get ready £4200 to sort what they suspect to be faulty fuel pump contaminated fuel system. New fuel pump fuel rail and injectors. Replace fuel lines and clean tank.it has already had fuel rail and sensor but they say it now needs another. Could it be something in the tank blocking the fuel line. Any ideas?

Think you need a second opinion. Take it to a different Ford dealer. The code didn't say replace half the car and cross fingers and hope for the best.

What engine do you have (petrol/diesel) ?

Get yourself a laptop and use FORScan and read all the DTC's. Just guessing at what might be the cause of the problem will only end up as being very expensive.
