Cannot start KUGA PHEV - battery issue?

Featured Replies

Hi, I cannot start my 2021 Reg Ford Kuga PHEV, even though I know it was fully charged earlier this afternoon.

When I press the ignition button, the green light comes on, but none of the dash comes on.

Also the boot will not open, and the wing mirrors do not fold out.

There is also a charging-like noise coming from the front of the vehicle, even though its not plugged in.

Has anyone experienced similar / know how to resolve?

did you manage to check the voltage on the battery?

seems to be quite common, even on newer cars. anyway, late response but you should have ford assist and ford should be able to fix these under warranty. let us know how you get/got on

Ford Puma's are suffering from a major similar problem, blaming Rombat installed batteries. These batteries are running down to below 12 volt threshold.

Thought I would mention it in passing through the forum.
