C max going into limp mode. Error code p1263 on diagnostic tool. Seems to go into limp mode when I accelerate or if engine comes under load

Featured Replies

Hi all . Purchased c max 3 weeks ago. The car went into limp mode today. Error came up as p1263 on diagnostic tool.  Reset only for error to return seems to be worse with acceleration or if engine comes under any load.p 1263 says 3 injector possible problem.  Any help would be appreciated

I've had the  same 1263 fault showing on my 2011 cmax as well.

Disconnected the electrical connection on no.3 and plugged a lamp  into the socket and when initially turned over it pulsed a light, then stopped.?leading me to believe its an electrical issue.

Anyone had the same issues?

Is it a problem experienced by many of you guys ? Also, is there a common place that the cables fail or a common ecr issue?

Any pointers would be appreciated

Steve
