BLIS Sensor

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I have a problem after installing a towbar and refitting the bumper.

On both sides of the bumper there is a sensor (BLIS-sensor) that is used whem other cars are not totally visible to the driver so a light will be show in the outside mirror.

After refitting the bumper I can't find anymore where to connect both connectors (left and right side).

They are labeled "RAE" and a barcode.

I don't have a picture of the connector but I can make them ofcourse.

Does anyone knows where to connect those connectors (location?).

Every other  connectors are fitted (there are several of them) but only those two I can't find.

Please help me.

I had a Towbar fitted this morning and I saw those sensors. I was only ‘supervising’ and not fitting, so I’m not sure what was unplugged or plugged back in. I only saw one plug after the bumper had been removed and it was on the right hand side, quite low down.

My kick to open tailgate still works, but haven’t had the need to see if the BLIS is working or not.

Edge of Reason, thanks foro your reaction.

I have found it on another video and for those who doesn't know, I have here a picture of the place where the connector needs to be.

@Yeshead Now I’ve seen your picture, I’m sure the chap who removed my bumper didn’t unplug those connectors. They were still in place with the bumper off.
