2018 Edge Cut out while driving. Won't start, no lights on dash to indicate issue

Featured Replies

Hey!

Was my edge yesterday on my way home.

Pulled in to let a bus come bast on a steep hill, As i began to set off again (Auto), car just cut out.

Turns over but won't start. No dash lights or anything indicating any problem. 3/4 tank of Diesel.

Plug in device only had one error which was Fuel relay pressure sensor (P0087). But reading about it that usually manifests differently if thats the issue as (opposed to straight cutting out and no longer working)

Anyone know where best place to start might be before I send it in somewhere or had similar issues? Was going to get a mobile out in the hopes it wasn't a major problem before I hand it to a garage for who knows how long. Was near home so got a friend to tow me back home so I didn't have to leave it

Thanks

Sounds like the high pressure fuel pump has broke( there's a springs in the pump that can snap. ) I wouldn't mess with it. Just get a garage/ mobile or otherwise to have a look.

Thanks for the fast response. Ill definatley do that. I was just a bit bewildered because of there being no dash lights or anything or any other errors. Ill get a mobile mechanic out to take a look 🙂
