Electric Windows

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a V reg Ford Ka with electric windows which have gone faulty. They used to work, but now neither passenger or driver door windows respond to either switch. There is no noise or sign of any attempt to work when the switcjhes are pressed. I have checked the fuse and this is ok (i.e. power both sides of fuse).

Is there a common component that could have failed to disable both windows? Is there a common earth point which could be poor?

Has anyone else experienced this same problem and how was it fixed?

Thanks

Hi, I`ve just checked the wiring diagram, it seems there are more than one fuse to check, firstly fuse F35 in the battery fusebox and also fuses F14, F17 and F24 in the main fuseboard. It may also be a loose or broken wire or a faulty ignition relay. John
