Replacing Driver Side Wing Mirror

Featured Replies

Hi,

Hoping you can help someone who doesn't know that much about cars...

So I'm trying to replace my driver side wing mirror on my C-max 2015 MK2.

I've removed the plastic trim around the edge of the window to expose the screws for the unit, but I can't trace where the connector cable goes to.

Is anybody able to shed some light on where I need to look for the connector? I'm hoping I don't have to take the door panel off.

I should also add that it's a manual fold, no heating mirror. Just standard electronic glass moving & indicator light.

Thanks,
Dan

The door mirror is held on from inside the car. Is this the plastic trim you have removed ?

Yes that's right. I'm trying to disconnect the electrics cable for it.

But can't seem to find where the cable goes to, it goes behind the door panel. I was hoping I wouldn't have to remove the panel to get to it.

I've got this far...

Yes, you do have to take the door panel off.
