Smart Charging

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a 2019 kuga 2 ltre Tdci ST line.    when first starting in the morning charge voltage goes up to about 15.4 volts and then settles to between 14.8 and 15.0 and stays there there is no sign of smart charging as it used to. Am I correct in thinking that when accelerating the charge should drop off and on the over run will go back up to 14.5 ish. Mine doesn't just stays at the high level as mentioned. However if I stop after 5 or 6 miles, get under the bonnet and remove and replace fuse F22 and start off again the smart charging works perfectly and stays like that for the rest of the journey. Bur following morning goes back to the high charge mode as described. Any ideas please as concerned might be damaging vehicle wiring or battery. Thanks
