Mondeo Mk4 Radio removal :(

Featured Replies

Hello, the end of my world has arrived and I can't listen to music while I drive at the moment as I keep getting a no audio message. I was planning to remove it and replace it. I've watched loads of YouTube but I'm now at a stage that seems different to other people's and so I'm hoping you can help?

I've gotten the main connector out but now left with these two. No idea what to do to remove them, any clues?

Then I just need to find one the same 🙂

thank for any help you can give

** update - from another page on this forum I think these might be FAKRA connectors - not that that really helps me. and I might be wrong. Will google these now

Yes they are a bit tricky to de-latch.

You need a little hook (maybe bend some very stiff wire bent will do). Put the hook in the little hole with the red arrow, and lift the latch so the connector can be pulled back past the catch (see yellow arrow)
