Good evening chaps and chapess.

Ive just done the latest update on my 19 plate edge

All went well said it had updated and works fine but when i put the usb back in the computer to upload the (done file) it isnt there?

It says it should be an XML file and thers is not one on the usb to send back to ford so i can update the sat nav?

Any ideas????

looks like ford changed this update process from v3.2, If you have updated to the latest version from Ford (SYNCGen3.0_3.4.21194_PRODUCT) then the xml is not generated, to validate you need to connect sync via wifi and then the update will be marked in the ford sync servers but needs to be done when you check for a software update over the air from within the settings of SYNC, it can take some time for the validation to eventually show. 

I update mine over the AIR instead of USB since I updated to 3.4 

I still get XML files with 3.4

It's in the Syncmyride folder iirc.

If it's not there, follow the troubleshooting section, it will give you just the XML generator.

DOH!!!!!

All sorted now just trying to get the sat nav to update now taking forever to even begin the download???
