Hi everyone, my back box just fell off my 2008 ford mondeo mk4 2.5t. Just had a quote for £1000 to replace the rest of the rusted pipe from the cat-back. Does anyone know of anything cheaper as really can't afford that much

Unfortunately there isn't any aftermarket standard exhaust available (not that I've found) for the 2.5T and 2.2 Diesels...your options are to have the existing welded back up or have a stainless system made up (will be cheaper than Ford). I've been keeping an eye on the mounts on my exhaust system and painting them for the last 5 years or so.

Only other option would be to get it welded, custom made or keep an eye for cars being broken.

Well guys took it to another garage today and I need from the cat back as the exhaust is rusted really bad. Don't have anyone local to do a custom made job so it's ford parts only. At a whopping cost of £1125. The previous quote I git didn't include VAT. The joys of owning a 2008 ford mondeo 2.5t ghia

And I recommended it as I have it fitted, well I have it turbo back with sports cat, but it is a very nice exhaust but certainly a lot louder than the factory fitted system.
