Engine replacement/ rebuild

Afternoon all sorry posted original post in wrong section  new to this site.

Unfortunately I'm In the middle of a rebuild of my grand C - max 2010 1.6tdci the timing belt shredded it's teeth while doing 65mph. I'm certain engine is dead but going to strip it fully down to check who knows may got lucky and just need new valves and gasket kit. 

So to the point if I do install a second hand engine I'm planning for a timing belt kit, full service kit, complete clutch and dropping the oil sump for a clean is there anything else I should consider while engine is out. 

Also is there any mods I can do to squeeze a little more power I.E. egr blank e.t.c
