MK4 both reversing light not working, parking sensor and reverse cam are both working fine

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I would really appreciate some help here please.

Both reversing lights are not working on my 11 plate MK4 mondeo. I've done these checks:

Relay - there is no reversing light relay in this type of the BCM, my understanding is that the power comes from BCM itself.

Bulb - checked the bulbs which both look fine

Reversing light switch - given the parking sensor and reverse cam working as normal, I don't think it's the problem on the reversing light switch as the signal is transferring ok. Back window wiper also works fine.

Reversing light bulb holder - there is no voltage coming through

I've seen the same question was asked couple of years ago but haven't seen any answer or solution to this.

Thanks all.

Hi there

Did you manage to get this fixed? I am having a similar issue on mine and MOT is due soon so it would be very much appreciated if you can let me know if you manage to get this fixed and how?

Reverse lights are not part of the MOT test.

Still it's a good idea to get them fixed.
