It's part of the tailgate hinge.  Not available separately.

Not surprised someone's nicked it with a price like that! 😮

You could try an aftermarket hinge cover, though quality doesn't look great from the images.

Thanks Tom, any idea if it will cause any damage (water ingress etc??) if not replaced. Not too bothered about replacing with a price like that. Some prick decided to use our car for spare parts when it was parked up, took a foglamp assembly, then took the replacement couple of weeks later 🤬 looks like they took this aswell, would like to have caught tge thieving little ***** 🤬🤬

I don't think there'll be any immediate issues from water ingress.  Though I'd be a bit concerned about leaving the hinge mech exposed to grit & salt long term.

If it was mine I'd probably try a few breakers yards for a used one, hoping they don't know the main dealer price!

I’d be inclined to replace it. The hinge mechanism in the MK1 is clever as it has the double tailgate/window hatch mechanism. I would get it covered, although I’m sure a little moisture or grit won’t be an issue in the short term.
