Bonnet open warning on display?

I opened the bonnet the other day to check oil etc, closed it as usual, got in  it on Saturday started her up and audible warning plus bonnet open on display?

I checked and bonnet closed? I took the assembly off cleaned the connection etc, re fitted same problem?

I priced one up on ebay around £25 gave the seller my vin number and according to them it doesn't fit my car? 2013 2.0 tdi business edition nothing special!

Rang local ford dealer £106 + vat ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! apparently it's linked to the thatcham alarm system

Anyone on here with the same problem if so how did you fix or source a new part?
