servicing

Hi All I am new here and yesterday purchased a  brand new Kuga 2.5 ST X line (FHEV) for delivery very soon. Can anybody tell me is it worth taking the service plan offered by my dealer at £639 for 3 years to inc 3 x services a brake fluid change and a discounted MOT when required. What would the saving be over having the work done as and when required...Im a low mileage user probably 9k per year Maximum. Any help appreciated

Forget the discounted MOT, you are still paying for that and many garages offer a discounted MOT so nothing special.

3 services in 3 years, seems a lot by modern day Ford standards. What is actually included in these "services" or are two of them just a 1000 point check and a kick of the tyres ? Do they include oil and filter changes ?

I'm not up on the cost of servicing FHEV but if the dealer could make more out out of you by not selling a service plan then they would. So my thoughts are you can probably get a better deal as and when your vehicle actually needs a service.

As I suspected, two of them are a walk round the car and kick the tyres. So what they want you to pay is £639 for one oil and filter change.
