P2002

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Engine light came on on my way home during motorway driving at approx 70mph. Got home checked fault code and I am getting fault code P2002.

Has anyone had this code and what did you do to fix it?

thanks

Your DPF is blocked or you have a bad sensor! I would put my money on it being blocked. You can try fixing it by a forced regen, but you need a diagnostic tool that can do stuff, like FORScan with a license.

Thanks Simon, I cleared fault and did a static regen last night even though the soot levels closed and open where ok. Light has stayed off so far, I am hoping it was just a glitch in the matrix

Engine light on again, same fault code.

i now suspect that the DPF diff pressure sensor is faulty, only issue is I have no idea where it is located.

does anyone know where the DPF differential pressure sensor is located on a 2017 210ps?

It's on the top of the engine above the hp fuel pump area from the info I have. But I would get it diagnosed properly . Could be be the fuel vaporiser blocked up. Quite a common occourance on other fords with the same higher power  engine. Did the static regen work ok.

The static regen worked as far as I know soot levels are low according to forscan.

i did a differential pressure check using for scan today with live data readout, DP_DPF reading one is reading fine, DP_DPF reading 2 is reading nothing so either it’s the sensor or the pipes.

where is the fuel vaporisor located?

So after some investigations and crawling on my back I have found the DPF differential pressure sensor.
it is under the car, you have to remove the metal floor cover just behind the front axle (4 screws). The sensor is situated on the Left hand side on the cross member.

That's good you found it. My info was wrong then. Or should I says fords info was wrong.
