Fuel filter

Featured Replies

Hi guys..just had the car serviced…looking for the above, as the garage could not get hold of one…they said that it’s a Ford, “due for replacement”, recommendation part, due the mileage of my car,(69,000 mile).

anyone know where I can get one, at the best price?.

cheers team👍🙂

Just got a Bosch fuel filter for the car…can I fit it myself, or is it best to let a mechanic fit it?.🤔

Filter is easy enough to change but a bit messy as it's a cartridge style - wear gloves and cover around the filter casing with some old rags if possible.

I can't remember if the Mk5 Mondeo 2.0 has a tank fuel pump or not.  I think it does, which means you just need to switch the ignition on & off a few times to prime the fuel system before attempting to start.  If it doesn't then it need to be primed using a hand pump first...which might be best left to a garage.

Thanks Tom…. I think The sensible option is to leave it to a mechanic then. don’t wanna run the risk of messing something up with the fuel system…I am told that it will take about an hour to do.

For what it’s worth, the part no’ for the filter is 50354530700057
