Identify Ford car roof rack fits?

Featured Replies

I purchased a roof rack that was supposed to fit my Ford Focus C-Max 2006 but it doesnt, its an official ford one so I would like to find out what model it fits if I can.

The part numbers on the end fittings and covers are too short for Ford usual numbers so I am hoping the members here may give me a clue on what car its made to fit.

It has alloy bars 1mtr long and the 4 end plates that attach to the car roof have 111701, 111706, 111703 and 111708 stamped into the metal.

The end cap plastic covers with keys have 122311, 122312, 122313 and 122314 cast into the black plastic.

The roof fixings are M6 bolts into blind rivet nuts in the roof channels.

I will attach photo's of the ends in the hope someone recognises them.

Anyone any idea on how I find out what Ford this fits?

Those 6 digit numbers don’t match the usual ford finis numbers that are 7 digit…

you could try trawling through the link below…

http://www.catcar.info/ford/?lang=en

it’s basically fords e-cat system online.

best bet is to probably pop Into a local ford dealer and see what they come up with using those numbers.

Since Ford don't actually make their own roof bars, there is a very good chance that they are made for them by Thule (who use a 6 digit part number).

Go to the Thule site and search for a set of roof bars to fit your car and see how close a match they are to the ones you have. It may give you a starting point to identify what you have. Of course the numbers will be diffrent as Thule will give Ford parts there own number.

That 'lump' across the end caps is quite unusual...  In fact, I can only see one Ford promo picture with them from a quick search.  Annoyingly, this picture is used for several models, with a disclaimer that it's just a reference picture.  Can anyone tell the model from that A pillar and roof line shape?

Looks like a circa 2004 Ford Fusion. You can just see the top of the door mirror which has a flat top.

This picture (not very clear) is taken from the Ford Fusion 2005 sales brochure.

Good spot!  Here's something interesting though...they have black B pillars...in fact, almost every Ford has black B pillars on a quick Google Image search!

So far, it's only the Mk2 Mondeo and the Mk4 Fiesta that I can see with body coloured B pillars on a 4/5 door model.  Pretty sure it's neither of those though, the aerial looks too modern.

Yes I noticed the odd colour scheme of the B pillar. It actually looks like the front door is silver and the back door is black. I was just wondering if it was a lighting issue when the photo was taken ?

I'm even questioning whether it is a photo now, or whether it's a rendering using parts from other photos.  I wondered if that rear window was hinged on the dark part, and was actually a 3 door model instead, but the top line certainly looks like a rear door.  Think I'm going to have to leave this for a while before I end up on a wild goose chase!

Thanks very much to all who have tried to assist with this, I will try again searching with the new info I have gained here and will report back. I did try my local Ford agents and as I/we expected they can offer no leads with the numbers I have.

After lots of searching it looks like the Mondeo suggestion was correct,

Looks like it fits MK3 Ford Mondeo (2001 - 2007) saloon and hatchback models.

Part list numbers didnt match any I have but the shape looks right and here are some attached to a Mondeo ST.

So I may have to wander over to the Mondeo forum and see if anyone has a set that has the same numbers on the parts to confirm that what they are supposed to fit.
