I've just replaced my front pads at 17.3k miles, discs are fine.  First fit, they squealed very badly.  I removed the pads, chamfered top and bottom edges and added copper slip to the mechanical mating surfaces.  That helped a lot, but they still squeal at slow speed braking.  I was wondering whether anyone knows of a pad that is less prone to this squealing problem. Does anyone know which brake pad make Ford use as OEM?

but after suffering front squealing brakes for 18 months (from new) & different pads tried by the dealership it was the anti-squeal clips that were missing in the end - dealer eventually discovered a Ford technical bulletin that refers. Clips were fitted FOC & no more squealing brakes.

When you say 'Anti-Squeal clips' do you mean these?

TBH I'm not sure as I've never seen the clips as such. The dealer fitted them as they'd exhausted every other attempt to remove the squealing (incl. new discs/various pads etc) but I'd imagine they look something like that 😉
