New battery in fiesta Titanium Key fob. But still comes up on the dashboard battery low

did you clear the errors first, fob battery or car battery low ?

Only had it 3 wk then started saying key fob going flat.So put new battery in 1wk week still coming up on dashboard

Was it a decent quality battery?  Not a Poundland special?

As you've only had it a few weeks, is the spare key still in the car?  Accidentally left in the glovebox or something?

I have (very rarely) still had a "dud", even with a "premium" brand. Having learned that lesson I check the voltage of the new battery before installing. Fresh battery would normally be around 3.3v.

Getting greasy fingerprints on the surface of the battery can also cause problems - quite a possibility at present as sanitizing gel is everywhere.
