Mondeo 1.6 tdci rough idle

Currently having intermittent rough idle with my 2011 mondeo 1.6 tdci bought car approximately one year ago and this issue has always been noticed. Car doesn’t always do it but when it does it smokes out exhaust(white smoke) pretty bad and can smell exhaust inside car? Checked injectors no visible leaks and clamps are tight. Not really investigated this fault as since purchase have done timing belt/water pump crank pulley/aux belt and tensioner. Also had a alternator fail so also had new alternator. Ignition switch and few other bits and bob’s. Should mention car is a ex taxi and was bought with 180,000 miles now on 191,000 miles. Many thanks

Forgot to mention car has no fault codes present. Also car has slight surging most noticeable at light throttle in car parks. Not looking to throw a load of money at this car as was bought as a workhorse and generally runs well enough just a bit embarrassing kangarooing around the car park.😜

I take it this is an 8v 1.6 TDCI?  Most likely knackered injectors if so.  Many barely lasted 40k, let alone 200k!

The kangarooing in car parks is standard for these though.  Mine did it at 42k!

Yes 8v 1.6 tdci. Yes injectors are top of my list of suspects no record of them being done ever so can’t complain really. As for the kangarooing think I will just buy a cowboy hat and try style it out.😎 many thanks TomsFocus👍
