2010 Ford KA Studio - Passenger Door Locking with Key, Possible?

Hey!

My girlfriend has just purchased a 2010 Ford KA Studio and has found that you can only lock the passenger door from the inside. It doesn't appear to be possible to lock this from the outside at all, the key doesn't have buttons and no central locking however no matter what you try from the drivers door you can't get the passenger side to lock.

Could someone please confirm if this is an issue or if this is correct? I can't seem to find much online and i'm guessing this is normal but does seem pretty weird for a 2010 car (even if it is base spec)!
