I just returned from the mechanic after bringing my 2011 Edge Limited in to diagnose a rattling sound coming from the right rear wheel area. They supposedly checked out everything in the area of the wheel - suspension, wheel assembly, the tire, and found nothing, and the entire area was solid and safe. They also checked the plastic around the shocks, and it looked good. They also checked the spare tire, the plastic well it sits in, as well as the jack, and again, everything there was solid. They think it's a bolt or something that broke off "inside" somewhere.

Has anyone else experienced this? It's intermittent, and to me sounds like something rattling/loose in the tire because the noise often matches with the rotation of the tire. With the window open, it's quite noticeable.

Apologies for late reply, but the chances of finding anyone on this UK based site having any experience of a 2011 Edge Limited, is very very slim.  The Edge wasn’t imported into the uk until 2016 and is no longer exported. I think the last imports were maybe 2020.
