MK8/8.5 reversing camera retrofit

Do anyone have any experience of retrofitting a reversing camera to a MK8/8.5 Fiesta that works with the Sync screen?

I have Sync 3 and was able to activate the reversing camera using Forscan under the APMI, but after connecting the camera to the SYNC system it recognised the change (and showed a blue screen where the video feed should be) but the image from the camera didn't show.

Does anyone have any experience of doing this and can tell me exactly what I need to change on Forscan so that the camera works? Also, does anyone who has done this know if the camera needs a seperate 12V supply to work, and where this would come from?

    Blue screen would possibly be indicating that the video signal in to the APIM is missing. Which type of camera have you used and which connections did you make to the APIM ?

    i have on my hand the original reserve camera and i try to find the way to mounting.

    That will be more complex to connect than an after market camera but it should give you the 'moving' parking lines if done correctly.

    Does your car have the factory fitted front and rear parking sensors ?

    Yes the car has factory rear sensor parking.

    my problem is if the car has the factory winring extension. Ford delers here in Greece they could not give me clear answer about.
