New member here from sunny Byfleet in Surrey.  Not long been new owners of an 18 plate st line Kuga and a 13 plate mk7 facelift fiesta titanium 1.0L ecoboost.  The latter bringing me to this site 🙂 while I ignore the daughters comments on why at 52, would I be driving a teenagers car 😁.  Little does she appreciate fuel economy and no car tax 🤔

Will spend a few hours trawling the forums and no doubt will be asking for advice soon enough

Hello Anthony and welcome to the Ford Owners Club 🎉

With you being a recent owner of the Fiesta 2013 are you aware of the situation regarding the 'wet timing belt' ?

Get the wet timing belt and the wet oil pump belt changed sooner rather than later. Maximum life expectancy is 10 years.  Current prices at the Ford dealers is around £1500 give or take £100. It's a major operation taking up to 10 hours so usually requires the vehicle to be in overnight.

A lot of people are selling 1.0 EcoBoost's now, to avoid the costly belt change at 10 years old.

Hi Anthony and welcome,

Looks like you've had plenty of advice already! And rest assured, there are plenty of "teenagers" much older than yourself happily driving our Fiestas - well, apart from the timing belt!😀😀

This Fiesta 'teenager' is 80 years old and it feels really nice to be a teenager.
