Driving in France

I have a 2015 hatchback 2.00 diesel auto Mondeo and I am planning a trip To France.  This may be a dumb question but I am aware that speed radar equipment is not permitted in France even if not in use.  Now and again a get a female voice from the car saying 'caution' fairly loudly.  There is one section of road whr it sounds regularly.  Is this likely to be equipment that would fall foul of the French law?  Any information would be appreciated

    No one with that type of equipment has ever returned from France so we just don't know. Many British motorists are held in the Bastille awaiting a meeting with madame Guillotine. 🤣

    I've switched that annoying female off in my car. ..... Oh you mean the voice from the nav. 🤣 Switched her off too. 

    Can't see it being an issue if they don't know anything about it.

    It took some finding, I assume you have sync2 . Will check mine tommorow and post up the area you need to untick.
