Key fob battery ran down in 2 weeks!

I have owned my second hand C-max for 3 years. Had a warning message that the key fob batteries running low.....fair enough. Changed batteries in both keys around 2 weeks ago  and now the same warning is showing again. Anyone know why they are so low so quickly?

    Poor quality (or old stock) batteries.

    Buy good quality replacement batteries - Duracell - Energizer - Panasonic and only from a main retailer not Poundland or other discount shops.

    Check that the replacement new batteries are at least 3.3Volt with a multimeter before fitting them.

    Might be a good point. I just ordered the right type of Amazon. No idea what brand they are. I'll try that and see if it helps.  I'm sure we have a meter in the house too.
