Grand C-Max floor anchor points

Featured Replies

I'm about to buy a car seat and, if I'm honest, I'm a bit confused about the fit.

The one we have our eye on is the Britax Maxway Plus. This one says it is compatible with the Grand C-Max on the Britax website, as long as it's used in the seats directly behind the driver or front passenger. That's fine.

The bit I'm confused by is the fitting. It looks like it doesn't use ISOfix, instead relying on a support leg, the seatbelt, and floor anchors. But I don't know whether the car has these (or what to look for inside the vehicle to confirm) and if not how to fit the thing.

We need this seat because a) it's currently on offer saving over £100 and b) the child that will be using it is in the 95 centile so big for his age and likely to stay that large, so the seat should last him until he's 25kg

Can anyone help me understand how you fit and anchor to the floor? Or suggest another 25kg rear facing seat?

Thanks

(Apologies for spelling and grammar mistakes. I'm on mobile with the dodgy keyboard and spelling suggestions)

Sorry - it's quite a few years since I had to use a child's car seat....  I mean since my CHILD had to use one!  Things have changed, but it does indeed look as though it doesn't use ISOFIX.  As the video clearly says, the support leg has to go on the floor and not on the lid of a storage compartment - I know what they mean as I used to have a C-Max and we removed the lid.  Sometimes you are better off going to a specialist shop with your car and get the sales assistant to get one from the showroom and physically show you how to fit it. You want to be sure, don't you.
