Hi all

I have a Mondeo mk5 2015 140bhp

just need some advice, after starting my engine the cooling fan comes on and stays on even if it's cold. I'm just not sure what this could be? or what to check to start ruling out.

I'm hoping it's not the thermostat.

Turn the Air Con off or at least set it to a warmer setting.

Does the temp read ok on the gauge?  If so, that should rule out the temp sensor and wiring to it.

How long has it been happening?  Might be trying to DPF regen.  (In theory they should only start with a warm engine, but the mapping isn't perfect in my experience).

Is the active grille shutter stuck closed?

yeah, the temp reads fine, it happened about a month ago, I have looked around to find out what could be coursing it but can't seem to find anything.

I don't think mine has the active grill shutter.

Best advice I can offer is to have some Ford diagnostics plugged in next then.  Forscan is ideal for DIY use.  It's been covered many times on here so have a quick search if unsure.

First do a global scan of all modules to see if any fault codes come up.
