Gear linkage part issue

Featured Replies

Hi all.

vehicle- 1.8 petrol cmax 2005

my gear linkage cable snapped around 6 weeks ago and we’re having a hard time sourcing another.
we've had 2 send from Ford based off reg plate where the end has been too long and another too short.

my mechanic has pretty much given up and I miss my car. Any advice would be great or knowledge of a specialist Ford breakers would be most welcome

Take the VIN number to a proper Ford dealer and the part and ensure they order the correct one.

Ford haven't sent the wrong one, the person who ordered has ordered the wrong one

I have non-genuine cables on my 2005 cmax. I don't know where to get them, because I bought the car with them already changed, but it is an option.
