Yes I can see how you would think the battery is fine !!!

It is connected the right way round ?

Have you measured the battery voltage with a multimeter ?

Hi, I've taken the battery off the car, an put it back on charge, its about 1/2 charged, but I can't understand why there is no ignition lights, can't even get the hazard lights to work

Focus ?  Just try slapping the dash above the instrument cluster. Other area to look at is the connection to the BCM fuse box behind the glove box. Just a thought if it’s a mk2/2.5 Focus

It's a 2011 1.6TDCI have checked all the fuses plus ect, just seems to not have any power what so ever from the battery???

What is the voltage of the battery when it is connected to the car ????

If the alternator has failed there is a possibility that it has gone short-circuit and is putting a massive load on the battery as soon as it is connected. You need to check that this is not the case by using a multimeter and measuring the battery terminal voltage once it is connected to the car.

I think the alternator has gone, it's working and the battery light came on then other panel lights, then lost power steering, battery had gone right down, I haven't checked it on the car yet but I will get it checked, I still have the battery on charge at the moment, thanks for your help with this
