Gear shift knob replacement on 2008 Titanium (Auto)

Featured Replies

Hi,

This is my first post here, and would like a little advice please on replacing the gearshift knob on my 2008 Ti: I do have a brand new (cosmetically identical) replacement one but I'm having trouble getting it to fully fall into the lever, it gets jammed an inch or so above where it should sit, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it to move further down - it's blocked by something... but what? Has anyone had any similar trouble with these aftermarket gear knobs?

Cheers 👍

(My recently purchased Mondeo below: 2.0 TDi with just 122k on the clock, lovely bodywork and a clean MOT history - I lucked out!)
