1.8 TDCi 115 CV Engine stops running.

Featured Replies

2008 Ford C-MAX Style TD 115 Variant KKDA1E, Version 5KAB NQ. Engine type KKDB 1.8 TDCi 115 CV. Engine No 7M15777

The following is a resume of what the garage has told me.

Symptoms. Engine starts fine, and ticks over smoothly. On going out onto the road, and applying any load to the engine, some hesitation occurs, and engine finally stops, requiring a tow back to the garage.

The fuel pressure also appears to fluctuate and generally appears poor during these episodes.

Fuel tank removed, cleaned; fuel lines cleaned. Fuel filter renewed.

The flow of fuel returned to the tank during tick-over seems excessive.

The local diesel specialist says they cannot test the pump, as it is a Siemens!

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Bill so far is £500!!!
